accusing me of being a bozo or manipulating statistics to get on the homepage is hypocritical. lets consider that 90% of the people making these accusations either use alt accounts that make up half of their followers or have followers solely because they came from wasteof and have no substantial posts or reasons to follow them.

Hello (upcoming) Darfriends! After four months of downtime after the incident, we are finally back! I have entirely rewritten the site back-end, and many pages should feel way faster than before.

Many features were added or revamped, such as the profile page, posts and searching.

Sadly, some features weren't as polished or done to be added on the website. They are coming sooner or later but not removed! Basically, were in BETA.

to be clear, if doodles blames it on me for the whole world, I NEVER impersonated him. i don't why doodles could just assume that, and i haven't even been that mean to him until to this point. this came from engineerrunner's post on darflen-updates in wasteof, where another impersonation account is seen

i am not that immature to impersonate anybody because there is literally no point. he said i was in a "fucking gang of friends" and i'm responsible for multiple death threats he's gotten (definitely his fault for being such a dickhead). this comes from the corny ass person who is even blocked on the darflen wiki and has to piss off the owner of every niche social media site for attention.

hey people on darflen again after my 5 day (?) break i forgot, here’s post number 384, not like it matters

lately, I’ve been struggling with the whole “why bother” question when it comes to posting. every time I drop something, it just kinda sits there, untouched, unnoticed, like it never existed. zero engagement, no feedback, just me staring at the screen wondering if I’m wasting my time.

which, honestly, makes sense. I don’t follow anyone, don’t engage, just post into the void and hope something sticks. but it still sucks. putting effort into something only for it to feel like shouting into an empty room.

it’s not even about going viral or getting tons of attention. just some kind of recognition that what I’m doing exists. but nah, every time it’s the same story. and with every post that flops, motivation gets lower and lower, until I start questioning why I even bother at all.

not saying I’m quitting, but yeah, it’s hard to keep pushing forward when nothing ever changes. anyway, that’s where I’m at right now. maybe I’ll figure it out, maybe I won’t. who knows.

part 2 because i wanted to expand

but here’s the real issue to me. while i sit here agonizing over effort vs. results, i see people posting whatever. blurry photos, half-baked thoughts, vague ramblings that barely make sense, and somehow they still get something. a couple likes. a random comment. just some indication that people saw it, even if they barely processed it.

so what am i doing wrong? is it too much effort that’s the problem? should i start dropping nonsense and hope for the best? maybe engagement isn’t about polish or thoughtfulness. maybe it’s just being there, constantly, like a background noise that people eventually start noticing.

meanwhile, qxva is out here churning out nonsense daily like it’s a form of high art, acting like he’s the backbone of this platform because he happens to post more than anyone else. spamming the feed like it’s his personal diary and then patting himself on the back for being "the most active." as if sheer volume equals value.

which would make sense. posting low-effort stuff is easier, faster, less emotionally taxing. it’s not tied to expectations, just existence. no overthinking, no hesitation, just throwing things out and moving on.

but is that what i want? do i want to contribute to the endless scroll of meaningless content? maybe. maybe not. depends on the day.

for now, i’ll keep doing what i do, even if it feels like screaming into the void. but if you’re someone who posts the equivalent of a blurry picture of your cat and still gets engagement, what’s the secret?

ATTENTION BLAZERS!

We are here to provide an update regarding the current situation that's happening on the Blaze platform. In case you weren't already aware, Blaze is currently being shut down due to a situation where a malicious hacker has managed to compromise the IP addresses of individuals who made an account on the platform. As we stated in our last post, we will not be making our website available until the situation is fully fixed and the personal data of our users is fully secure.

We are happy to announce that we have been making significant progress towards making Blaze a more secure platform for all users. After a recent inspection by a 3rd party individual who we will not name for privacy reasons, we are happy to report that the personal data of our users have been secure, at least so far. As you will see in the screenshot, we have a receipt proving that we have taken the situation with utmost importance and have made some significant progress towards patching any security vulnerabilities.

However, as amazing as this is, there are still things that need to be done, which means we will not be republishing the site as of yet. We are still inspecting the edge functions, RLS policies, and authentication measures to ensure that both current and future users will not have their personal data compromised.

As of now, the ETA on when the website can return back to normal is 1-2 days. This can change at any time, so it is important that you follow us and stay informed on when everything is fully fixed.
